AMC loans could help to ease the burden of funding NVZ related plans
New NVZ regulations governing certain livestock farming operations including the storage and spreading of slurry and animal wastes come into force in some parts of the UK in January 2012.
Finance Options
AMC mortgages are specifically tailored for farm and rural businesses. We have a straightforward, no nonsense approach to doing business. AMC does not just lend for land purchases, our mortgages can be used to fund a wide range of farm improvements, including Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ) related projects such as building new or extended slurry storage systems, improving existing buildings and cubicles or expanding your herd.
At AMC we offer a range of simple and straightforward funding options:
|
The AMC Standard Loan suits larger NVZ investment projects where a longer payback period is desirable. The loan can be taken over a term of 5-40 years, on either a fixed or variable rate of interest, or a combination of the two, and on either an interest-only or repayment basis. You can request to draw the loan down in tranches over a 12-month period as your project dictates, which can come in handy when paying contractors in instalments. The minimum Standard Loan is £25,001. |
|
Alternatively, the AMC Flexible Facility can be used as a project-based finance facility, such as a specific building project. This loan facility is provided over a 5 year term, with a choice of repayment method (£5 minimum per month) and enables you to draw down funds as and when you need them (minimum of £5,000 applies). This type of facility could help control your cash flow during your NVZ project with interest charged only on the amount borrowed. It is also possible to withdraw further funds up to the facility limit if additional projects should arise in the future. The minimum Flexible Facility limit is £30,000. Both facilities are subject to sufficient security in the form of agricultural land, buildings and dwellings from the outset.
