The AMC Flexible Facility
The setting-up cost for the AMC Flexible Facility is negotiable (minimum £750, minimum facility limit £30,000), and there is an annual administration charge of 0.5%. For example, if you are an arable farmer with income concentrated in the autumn, you could buy your inputs, then let your account accrue interest during the 'lean' months of the year, and later repay when cash from your harvest is available.
Or if you are a livestock or mixed farmer, needing funds for a new building or stock that will not show a return for some time, you could cover the cost without worrying about interest or capital payments until there is a return on your investment. You can ask AMC to consider an extension of the facility term at any time.
